Job Opportunity at Bòrd na Gàidhlig - Administrative Support Officer

Bòrd na Gàidhlig, the Scottish Government’s Gaelic Development Agency, seeks an Administrative Support Officer who speaks, reads and writes Gaelic to work as part of our administrative support team.  The salary range on offer is £14,000 - £19,226.

PROFESSOR NORMAN GILLIES TO RETIRE THIS YEAR

Professor Norman Gillies, who has been Director of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig for 20 years, has announced that he will be retiring from the post by the end of the year.  Professor Gillies, who turns 61 tomorrow, began his time at Sabhal Mòr as College Secretary in November 1983 and so will have completed 25 years of service by the time he retires in November of this year.

Only two weeks to get your entries in to new song competition

There are only two weeks left for minority language singers and song-writers to enter to Nòs Ùr - the first song contest to be held in Inverness as part of four regional finals held across Europe.  The deadline for song applications is 14 March.
