Taic Freumhan Coimhearsnachd
Bòrd na Gàidhlig is provides funding for organisations to carry out projects which strengthen Gaelic in the community, to help deliver the National Plan for Gaelic. The Taic Freumhan Coimhearsnachd fund aims to help organisations across Scotland to progress innovative projects which will grow the use of Gaelic and strengthen confidence in the language locally.
Bòrd na Gàidhlig will use this fund to support community orientated projects which will:
- strengthen learning and usage of Gaelic in the home, or
- strengthen learning and usage of Gaelic among young people, or
- strengthen learning and usage of Gaelic in the community
Taic Freumhan Coimhearsnachd gives priority to applications from community organisations, voluntary groups, small businesses and other organisations that wish to promote Gaelic language activities in communities or networks.
The deadline for applications this year has now passed. The next round of funding will open in 2010 and more information and an application form will be available on this page then.
Details of successful applications in 2009-10 will be released here shortly.
