Resources
Stòrlann Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig does excellent work in producing teaching materials for schools, and Gaelic Online also adds to the resources for teachers in schools. There are a number of other resources available online and in print that various people and other publishers produce. Bòrd na Gàidhlig in partnership with other organisations and people is working to expand Gaelic learning resources at every level.
Stòrlann Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig publishes Gaelic books for schools, which include stories and short novels for children, course books for specific subjects, grammar and language books and teaching resources in other media. They have also published material for parents who have children in a Gaelic unit or school. Gaelic Online have a good range of teaching materials that are useful for all levels of teaching in the schools.
There is no shortage of learning and educational resources for adults: a number of books are available, and teaching materials can also be found online. There are particular courses for adults such as the Gaelic Access Course delivered via distance learning by Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, and people can access a number of courses in various learning centres.
Although there has been improvement in terms of learning and educational resources, these resources should continue to be built upon so that there are more and more learning and educational opportunities which are attractive and supported.
