Pre-school Education

You should speak to Comhairle nan Sgoiltean Àraich about this area of education, they know which pre-school groups there are throughout Scotland and they will advise on every form of Gaelic pre-school education.  Your local authority can also help.  It is also worthwhile speaking to Comann nam Pàrant who have information on pre-school education.

Primary and Secondary Education

You should speak to your local authority about the Gaelic units and primary schools in your area. You can receive information and advice about Gaelic education from Comann nam Pàrant and Comunn na Gàidhlig. The HMIe reports give a picture of the quality of teaching in each school and local authority area.

Further and Higher Education

You should speak to the colleges and universities that are highlighted under the section Further and Higher Education, you can also speak to other organisations such as Student Awards Agency for Scotland and UCAS.

Teaching

Adult and Lifelong Learning
